The Statute of the Kingdom or Fundamental Statute of the Savoy Monarchy of 4 March 1848, in short the Albertine Statute, the first European constitutional statute and the European Social Charter, signed in Turin on 18 October 1961: these are the two polarities between which Palazzo Madama historically moves in its modern and contemporary institutional dimension. A temporary exhibition of illustrations is proposed that integrates what has been accomplished with the Europa project, and offers the full sense of Palazzo Madama’s role in the history of Italy and Europe.
