After 4 years of careful restoration - carried out thanks to the important contribution of the Mission Structure of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers - and the virtual inauguration of March 17th, on the occasion of the 160th Day of National Unity, of the Constitution, Of the National Anthem and the Flag, from
Monday April 26th, 2021 the
Cavour Memorial will be open to the public, housed in the
Castle of Santena.
There are three floors devoted to this: the dining room, halls and lounges with paintings, family portraits and furnishings that underline the cosmopolitan taste of the Benso family on the ground floor; the re-enactment of the birth, childhood and adolescence, of Camillo’s education (the library!) on the first floor; agricultural experimentation, his activity as a politician and statesman, the Unification of Italia, the reconstruction of the apartment in Torino with the original furnishings on the second floor.
All enriched by narrative voices, musical backgrounds, mappings, projections and multimedia equipment.
Reservation only. Entrances on fridays, saturdays and Sundays: 9.30 - 11.30 - 15.00 - 17.00.
