Among the roses of the Mandria castle
The Mandria Castle, a hunting lodge commissioned by Vittorio Emanuele II, was the love nest between the King of Italy and the Countess of Mirafiori and Fontanafredda Rosa Vercellana, "la Bella Rosin".
Roses, an explicit reference to the countess’s name, were chosen as decorative elements for all twenty rooms that make up the tour.
The visit consequently offers the opportunity to observe and admire, among pictorial cycles, stuccoes, wallpapers and furnishings, the highest results achieved by the various workers who intervened between 1863 and 1865 at the Castle.
