“Jazz is Dead” is a provocative and irreverent name: claiming the death of jazz is not a criticism but an awareness of a genre linked to an increasingly distant past, forced to deal with a present oriented towards sound and other visions.
The aim of the festival, therefore, is not to go back to the golden years of jazz nor to go in search of new and futuristic sounds: artists from classical genres will take turns on stage, artists who have made the lesson of jazz their own, elaborating on it in full autonomy.
