By plane, train, car

Turin is the crossroads between Italy, Europe and the Mediterranean...

Situated in the North-West of the country, it is just about 100km from Milan, the Ligurian sea and the French border: all of which makes Turin the “one hour city”, readily accessed and handy for the mountains, lakes, sea and the rest of Italy. Fast trains and Italo mean that Milan is just an hour away, Paris five hours and then, from December 2009, Piedmont's chief city is form part of the High-Speed track taking in Turin-Milan-Naples-Salerno, thus becoming even closer to Italy's south.
Turin's International Airport has a daily connection with the main cities of Italy and Europe and lays on a good transport service to the town centre, both by bus and train, as well as taxis of course. Lastly, for those who always prefer their own vehicles, Turin is the hub of major national and international routes that connect it with the rest of Northern and Central Italy, as well as the main border crossings to France and Switzerland. The main routes include the A4 Milan-Venice motorway, the A21 Piacenza-Bologna, the A5 for the Aosta Valley and Switzerland, and the A6 for Liguria and the Italian Riviera, and the A32 for France.
