The protagonists of the exhibition set up at Moncalieri Castle are the stringed instruments made by luthier Giuseppe Silvio Martina, one of the oldest Italian manufacturers of musical instruments, who has been active in Volpiano for a long time. The exhibition is a journey through the art of violin making, discovering the essences of woods suitable for making instruments; a historical section is also dedicated to the composer Rosario Scalero. Antique books related to the world of music and scores from the Risorgimento enrich the exhibition itinerary. The exhibition is accompanied by an articulated programme of musical and cultural events.
