On 19 October, in the Sale Chiablese of the Musei Reali, a large and unprecedented exhibition dedicated to the
masterpieces of the most important Italian artists of the post World War II period opens to the public.
The exhibition of a corpus of
79 works from the Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea in Rome, for the first time exhibited together outside the museum that preserves them, presents the testimonies of an unrepeatable artistic season.
The exhibition highlights the richness of the Roman museum’s collections and celebrates
21 artists who animated an unprecedented season in Italian contemporary art: Ettore Colla, Pino Pascali, Giuseppe Capogrossi, Lucio Fontana, Alberto Burri, Mimmo Rotella, Bice Lazzari, Afro, Piero Dorazio, Giosetta Fioroni, Carla Accardi, Giulio Turcato, Gastone Novelli, Toti Scialoja, Sergio Lombardo, Tano Festa, Franco Angeli, Piero Manzoni up to Michelangelo Pistoletto, Mario Schifano and Emilio Isgrò.
