Alpine Skiing

Alta Val Susa and Chisone in the Upper Susa Valley is the temple of Turin’s Alpine skiing...

the setting for the XX Winter Olympics of 2006, the territory includes the ski areas Vialattea – Sestriere, Sauze d'Oulx, Clavière, Cesana, Sansicario, Pragelato and Monginevro – and Bardonecchia Ski –Jafferau, Melezet and Campo Smith. Over 500 km of ski runs interweave along breathtaking slopes, immaculate valleys and sun-drenched plateaus, with different levels of difficulty to meet the needs of both beginners and pros.

The ski-lift facilities, renewed for the major international event, have focused on speed and safety, while snow cannons ensure perfect covering of the runs even in the less abundantly snowy seasons. The offer is completed by ski schools of the highest level, areas reserved for children, structures and services to meet every need or whim.

Alpine skiing also means the Petit Ski Resorts: Prali in the Germanasca Valley, Pian Neiretto in the Upper Sangone Valley and Ala di Stura and Usseglio in the Lanzo Valleys are some of the most popular spots.
