The enchanted sets make the spectator participate in Hoffmann’s own fairy tale, made up of sweets, toy soldiers, a Christmas tree, snowflakes and dancing flowers, naughty mice, prodigies, Prince Charming and fairies, which enchant children and enchant adults. The conclusion is marked by the Waltz of the Flowers, after which Clara will find herself with her nutcracker in her lap, happy with this Christmas dream.
