The works of Antonio Ligabue illustrate his life, psyche and tormented history. Art for Ligabue was always an innate need that helped him to endure the difficulties and sorrows of life. This can be seen especially in the strength of his paintings, which still strike a deep emotional chord today.

The exhibition presents the art of this visionary genius always evolving, his passionate research with which he knew how to invent and renew his works using colours that are violent, but nevertheless harmonious, in their pressing emotional suggestion, proposing a popular and refined iconography.
