The SAGRA DEL FUNGO is, for lovers of the delicious fruits of our land, an event to rediscover a centuries-old tradition of the Cossanesi, expert mushroom hunters.
These delicacies can be found in abundance while strolling pleasantly through the leafy chestnut and oak forests, and can be enjoyed during the festival cooked according to ancient and traditional recipes.

On Saturday 30 September, the Sagra programme offers a guided tour of the MAAP works at 2 p.m. in the Pro Loco square.
This will be followed by a walk through oak and chestnut woods to discover the Pera Cunca, with guide and town councillor Cristina Avetta. To participate, with a free offer, just call 340-5529081.
At 6.15 p.m. in the salon of the socio-cultural centre in via Torino 47, a conference is scheduled on the theme "Renewable energy: is it an opportunity for our communities?", at which the Mayor of Bergamo, Giorgio Gori, and Alberto Avetta, currently Vice-President of the Territorial Planning Commission of the Piedmont Regional Council, are expected to attend.
At 8.00 p.m. in the Pro Loco hall there will be a typical mushroom dinner, which can be booked by calling 0125-779947 or 347-7584249.

On Sunday, 1 October, from 9.30 a.m. onwards, there will be a market exhibition of the products of the land, demonstrations of ancient crafts, the ’Cossano 1800’ exhibition, and a mycological exhibition organised in collaboration with the Asl of Ivrea. The ’Badgers’ club 4x4’ group organises a static exhibition of 4x4 off-road vehicles and a demonstration with scale models in the former playground area.
At the information point of the Museum Network of the Morainic Amphitheatre, one can see photos and documents and a video dedicated to the poet Giulia Avetta and the MAAP.
Starting at 11 a.m. in the village streets, the Accordéon street band and magician Andrea Marasso perform. From 11.30 a.m. in the Pro Loco pavilion, typical products such as mushrooms, panissa and sweet polenta can be tasted and bought. One can also have lunch tasting local products at the Avetta restaurant. At 2 p.m. in the hall of the socio-cultural centre, the organisation Fragments of Feminine History presents ’I’d rather not’, dialogue readings, stories of women artists, politicians, intellectuals, ordinary women, determined to assert themselves in life with courage and creativity.
At 3 p.m. in the church square, the afternoon will be animated by the choir ’Amici in ... choir’.
