World Refugee Day, an annual event called for by the United Nations General Assembly, aims to raise public awareness of the plight of millions of refugees and asylum seekers who, forced to flee wars and violence, leave behind their loved ones, their homes and everything that was once part of their lives.
On the occasion of the 2024 edition, the SAI Project (Reception and Integration System) of the Ivrea Municipality, activated in 2011 and now managed in collaboration with the Marypoppins snc Cooperative, promotes two significant events to which all citizenship is invited:
- Friday 21 June, 9 p.m. - Sala Santa Marta, Ivrea
Presentation of the book "Troppo neri" - Meeting with authors Saverio Tommasi and Francesco Malavolta
- Saturday 22 June, 5 p.m. - Museo Civico P.A. Garda - Piazza Ottinetti, Ivrea Inauguration of the
exhibition "Popoli in movimento" with the photojournalist Francesco Malavolta.
The exhibition will be open until 20 July.
