MASCHE, CASTLES AND VINEYARDS

Day 1
Rivara, Levone, Cuorgnè

In the morning visit to Rivara, visit to Villa Ogliani with its splendid Park, where operated the Rivara pictorial school

Visit of the historical center (where reproductions of the most important paintings of the Rivara school are exhibited) and of the Castle, today used as a permanent exhibition of contemporary art. 

Here took place the trial of Levone’s masche (witches) in 1474, then condemned to the stake.

Typical lunch at the farm

Transfer by bus to Levone.
Visit of the historic center and of the shelter tower.
Walk on the tracks of the Masche until you reach (1.5 km of comfortable walk) the Le Masche farm which produces excellent Canavese wines, linked to the history of the places, 

Visit of the vineyards, of the winery and tasting of wines and typical products.
Transfer to Hotel
Gourmet dinner  accompanied by Canavese wines
Overnight

Day 2
Cuorgnè, Piverone, Borgomasino, Masino

Breakfast in Hotel
Transfer to Piverone
6 km (2 hours) walk through the vineyards of the Serra Morenica - Piverone and its historic center, walk ont the Via Francigena to the "Gesiun", ruins of the ancient Romanesque church, panoramic terrace of the Vigna Cariola, lido di Anzasco, on the banks of the great lake of Viverone, visit at the La Steiva Agricultural and Ethnographic Museum

Transfer to Borgomasino  to Azienda Agricola Pozzoforte
Lunch based on hemp sativa products accompanied by Erbaluce di Caluso

Transfer by bus to the Castello di Masino
Guided tour of the park and the castle of Masino
