The exhibition unwinds along a broad itinerary that represents and analyzes the history of photography from Von Gloeden to the present day, from a precise breaking point of social, sexual and gender identity patterns. From V
on Gloeden to Mapplethorpe, from Helmut Newton and Bruce Weber, to Cindy Sherman, Thomas Ruff, Wolfgang Tillmans and Thomas Struth: original images, vintage prints, in different formats, including large ones. The choice documents practically the entire development of avant-garde photographic research, with a particular focus on authors who have contributed most to defining the specific field of photography in contemporary art.
