Every Sunday from 12th July to 30th August and on Ferragosto (15th August), the last 6km stretch of the SP50 which leads to Colle del Nivolet is closed to private motor traffic: access is by foot, on bike or with the shuttle bus. It is a way of experiencing the Gran Paradiso National Park via soft tourism, to get to know these beautiful, uncontaminated places on tiptoe: a jam-packed schedule of events (booking necessary) in fact invites visitors to discover the protected area as the perfect place for a “sustainable” holiday in contact with nature.
