The castle stands on the hill overlooking the Canavese plain.
The complex consists of the Palazzo Bianco built by Amedeo di Castellamonte, the Savoy court architect who designed the Reggia di Venaria, and of the scenic Red Tower with its typical neo-Gothic battlements built by Luigi Formento in the mid-nineteenth century.
