From 10 December 2024, CASA GIANDUJA Museo Teatro delle Marionette e dei Burattini will open to the public, with workshop and teaching spaces and a workshop for the construction and restoration of marionettes and puppets.
The
Casa Gianduja Museum will host a selection of the highly prestigious Grilli Puppet Company Collection, which now numbers more than
20,000 marionettes and puppets spanning a period from the 18th century to the present day. In addition to a large number of materials belonging to famous Piedmontese and Italian companies and families, the Grilli Collection includes marionettes, puppets and shadow puppets from different countries around the world: England, France, Germany, Czechoslovakia, Turkey, India, China, Burma and the United States.
The showcases will feature a selection of Italian marionettes and puppets from the Grilli Collection belonging to prestigious Italian art families.
To support didactics within the Museum, the public will find multimedia panels where they can deepen their knowledge of the collection and of Figure Theatre in general.
