Flashback Habitat, Ecosistema per le Culture Contemporanee is an independent art centre created with the aim of bringing art into the everyday life of everyone, giving new life to what is forgotten and neglected, be it works, places or people. The large 20,000-square-metre complex in Borgo Crimea, immersed in a powerful green area, has been brought back to life after having been out of use since 2013. The exhibition space is spread over 4 pavilions:
HALL A: hosts Stanze Viventi/Living Rooms, a project that gives centrality to territory, artistic creation and life. The first part of the project is aimed at artists from the Piedmontese air who transform the rooms into works. Once finished, they will be entrusted to non-profit associations to carry out their activities for the second part of the project.
HALL B: this is the pavilion dedicated to exhibitions and art fairs, and includes the bookshop and workshop area.
HALL C: the most historic building in the entire complex, it is the place for conviviality and creative hospitality. It houses Il Circolino, which includes a talk area, exhibition area, project room, and bar/bistrot.
HALL D: still a work in progress, it will be dedicated to production, hosting a mixture of ’interface projects’ between art and crafts.
