From the special and intense bond that unites the mountain people and their traditions with the often hostile territory and environment, the ecomuseum project proposed by the Coazze Municipality was born in collaboration with the neighbouring municipalities of Giaveno and Valgioie. The Ecomuseum of the Upper Sangone Valley focuses on the study and enhancement of everyday places and tools, through constant collaboration with the local population. The Ecomuseum currently houses a Museum of Resistance, the LABSOL, Educational Soil Laboratory, the Weaving Laboratory and the Tourist Office.
The Ecomuseum is located in the same building that houses the Municipal Tourist Office and the Ecomuseum of the Resistance. In order to make the most of the area and collaboration with other bodies and realities of the neighbouring valleys, to meet the proposals of the valley dwellers and always offer visitors something new, the exhibition rooms of the Ecomuseum are used for exhibitions and temporary displays, which can be visited free of charge during the opening hours of the Tourist Office (which vary according to the season).
