The Sacro Monte di Belmonte is one of the main religious centres of the province and, since 2003, it has been included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The Belmonte hill is crossed by this sacred route, where each stage is marked by a chapel: a spiritual path made even more beautiful by the natural wooded environment through which it wends. The route ends at the Shrine of Belmonte, which is largely 19th century in style, and from which an incomparable view over the Canavese can be gained.
