The museum is famous for its Mario Strani mycological collection: unique in the world, it comprises over 2000 models of fungi/mushrooms from in and outside Europe, exact replicas of the originals, made by Professor Strani in over sixty years of activity.
By the same person, the museum also houses perfect geomorphology models. The Mineralogical group of Pinerolo and the valleys donated an extensive mineral collection.
There are also shown insects and butterflies, various shells and crustaceans, birds, mammals and reptiles. Information panels explain the collection, others illustrate topics of special interest: caving, astronomy, palaeontology.
